Billionaire Universities

Forbes.com had an article on the universities that produce the most billionaires. Not so surprisingly, Binghamton University, my alma mater, did not make it to the list. Harvard University came first, where of the 469 Americans on Forbes' most recent list of the world's billionaires, 50 received at least one degree from Harvard. Stanford University comes in second, but still trails Harvard by 20 billionaires. Third on the list is the University of Pennsylvania, followed by Yale, and finally with Columbia University rounding out the top five. I guess there's a reason why these Ivy League schools are so popular and competitive.

Geez... I always knew there was a reason why I wanted to go to Harvard so badly when I was younger. But as I grew older, reality hit and I came to realize I wasn't smart enough. Guess I'm not on track to becoming the next billionaire... but then again, I'm not aspiring to be one. I'd never survive in the limelight, constantly being scrutinized in the eyes of publicity. I'd give all that up to be exactly where I am today. There are much more important things than money in this world. The Bible tells us very clearly in Matthew 6:19-21: "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
