My Little Munchkins

Latest updates on my two little munchkins... though they're not too little anymore.

I was helping big sister K with her homework the other day.  The task was to draw a picture that starts with the letter she was given.  One of the letters was a "v."  The only words that came to mind were van, vulture, vampire, none of which she was able to draw a picture for.  Big sister K thought about it a minute, then said "vowel," and proceeded to write out "a, e, i, o, u, y" as her picture.  I was quite proud of my little girl for thinking that one up all by herself.

Baby M's verbal skills has progressed significantly.  He isn't able to say big sister K's name yet (we're still working on the "k" sound), but his three-syllable words are a lot clearer now, like alligator, umbrella, bicycle (though "elephant" still needs a bit of work).  His most recent phrase to big sister K is "No bother me!" (though that doesn't stop her from pestering him).  We were having dinner last night and baby M was making a mess as usual.  M says rhetorically, "who's being a pain?" and baby M responds, "me!"  No disagreement on that one!
