Sharing The Joy

Within a span of several weeks, I now know of eight other people who is due to give birth between November 2008 to February 2009. Four of those eight are coworkers from work, so needless to say, year-end will be a busy time for those not as fortunate to be on maternity or paternity leave. This is probably the most expectant parents announced at one time that I know of. I'm really excited that our baby will have so many playmates close to his/her age, but unfortunately, that also means more competition on the daycare wait list at work. Hopefully I beat some other people to the punch, but not likely since I've been dragging my feet on this (took the tour around the daycare almost a month ago), and I just submitted my application form and the $100 registration fee earlier this week. In any event, it's kind of cool to be able to share pregnancy stories with other moms-to-be going through similar experiences.

So... who's next???

our dev team gave birth to 9 babies from 11/07 to 4/08. crazy. none of them are even women (their wives..heh). so the joke was.."oh, we have plenty of young interns on their way!"..but yes, i do see a surge of pregnancies all around! i see a lot of pregnant women in subways and on the streets as well! so you will def have a lot of company! and i'm glad you are so organized to apply for day care! the competition will be nuts! are you starting the 529 college funds and all that yet?
congrats again and it will be a wonderful thanksgiving!
