Imagine my surprise when I arrived home yesterday and found a box from 1-800-FLOWERS lying by the front door. My first instinct was that it was delivered to the wrong house, but after careful inspection, I saw that the label was clearly addressed to me. Along with the half a dozen roses came a card that read "Happy Mommy Day, From Cutie Pie."
Yes, this will be my first year celebrating Mother's Day as a mommy, instead of my usual role as a daughter or daughter-in-law. Baby K is too young to know what this holiday is, but her mere existence has brought such joy into my life that nothing else even comes close to making this day special for me.
Thanks for the flowers, daddy (isn't he wonderful?). Now this just means I have to start thinking of something to get M when Father's Day comes around next month! Does anyone have any ideas?

Haha, I think M is just taking the credit for sending the flowers. Baby K probably send them to you by herself; she just seems that skilled and capable!
You should send him a little bouquet of chocolate covered strawberries from Edible Arrangements. Then you can be like, "Wow, those are going to go old if they're not eaten quickly. Let me help you with those." Hehe.

yesterday, while sharon, teresa, and i were getting flowers for our moms/grandmoms, we were talking with ken (kammy's husband) about how mother's day is so easy...flowers, chocolates, somethjing shiny and pretty...but father's day is so hard...ken said something electronic...as long as it's made out of some kind of steel/metal and needs to be charged/use batteries...haha hope th at helps!
thanks for the suggestion, dani. unfortunately, m is not into expensive electronic gadgets... he'd probably enjoy the chocolate covered strawberries from Edible Arrangements more! =P
